About School Hours Jobs

School Hours Jobs lists jobs whose adverts say the hours start at 9:15am or later and finish by 3pm, so parents can do the school run. We cover the whole UK, with a page for the West Midlands. A town gets its own page once it has 15 or more jobs that meet our rule.

How we choose jobs

• We collect jobs from public sources: at the moment, Teaching Vacancies (Department for Education).
• We check each advert's own text for its hours. We list a job only if the stated hours fall between 9:15am and 3pm, or the advert says plainly that it fits around the school run.
• We leave out adverts that only say “school hours” or “term time” without times, and after-school shifts such as 3:30 to 6pm.
• We don't write or rewrite adverts. Our checks are automatic and can be wrong, so always read the full advert.
• We remove jobs when they pass their closing date or when the source stops listing them. Jobs with no closing date go after 30 days, and no job stays more than 90 days.

We are not a recruitment or employment agency

School Hours Jobs is a listings website only. We are not a recruitment agency, employment agency or employment business, and we don't act for employers or jobseekers. We never take CVs, introduce candidates to employers or handle applications. Every job links to the employer's or partner site's own advert, and you apply there.

We never charge jobseekers

Using School Hours Jobs is free. We never charge jobseekers any fee, and we never charge anyone a fee or commission for contacting, interviewing or hiring a candidate.

Where the jobs come from

Some listings contain public sector information from Teaching Vacancies (Department for Education), licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0. Each of these jobs links to its original advert and is labelled “Free listing from Teaching Vacancies”.

How we make money

At the moment we earn nothing from the site: there are no paid links and no ads. If we add paid links (affiliate links) later, each one will be labelled “Paid link”, and payment will never change which jobs we show or their order. Read our affiliate disclosure.
